| | Amidst all the difficulties that life has been throwing my way the past few weeks, something quite wonderful has happened, and it is so very obviously only of God. My daughters have had a, shall we say, "bumpy" relationship with their father for quite some time. It saddens me to no end. I try to comfort them and give them encouragement, but I'm not always sure it does any good. Anyway, with all that's been going on with my dad and stepmom, my two eldest daughters have "stepped up to the plate," and helped out with errands, doctor's appointments, etc. Today my dad called and was literally gushing over how much he appreciated their help, and how they went over and above the call of duty. He also mentioned that he felt badly about their relationship with their dad, and that he felt God was giving him this opportunity to fill in that place for the girls, in a positive way. You could have knocked me over with a feather when he said that!!! Who else but God could come up with such a solution?!?! I stand amazed at God's ingenuity in our lives.
